The applet below uses the Machin Formula to calculate PI value up to an arbitrary (user supplied) number of figures. Usage is straightforward: type in the desired number of figures and then press "Calculate" button. Beware that calculation for number above 200 becomes quite slow (and uses considerably resources of your computer!), so I decided to let the user decide to give up: after having pressed "Calculate" button, this changes to "Stop" to let you interrupt calculations.
